Loan Forgiveness - SON Student Dollars

1. Graduate Students Association (GSA)

Focus: Conference Travel

Stipulations: Exhaust other avenues before applying (faculty, Grad Div., etc.)

NB: Apply early in academic year before funds are exhausted (late applications not accepted)

Award: $200 in first year and $100 each additional year of school up to $700 max


2.
Nursing Student Council Enrichment Award

Focus: Conference attendance or for presenting a paper

Stipulations: Apply after travel is completed

Award: 10 $100 awards are available each quarter


3. Graduate Division

Focus: Present paper or poster at a conference

Stipulations: Must be PhD student advanced to candidacy

Award: Up to $1,000

Missed deadlines above or need more funding? Try scholarships.

Doing an RA-ship? Check to see if your faculty project has conference support.

Member of CNA Region 11? They have funds for relevant travel, conferences courses.



Fellowships With Travel Support


T-32 & T-42: research allowance per fellow which may be used for travel

NRSA: research allowance

NIGMS: travel support in years 2-5 with an allotment for each year (does not carry forward to subsequent years)

President’s Dissertation Year: travel support to other UC or CSU campuses
