Graduate Division Research Award
GD supports direct costs, up to $2,000, of dissertation research after student advances to candidacy. Four submission dates per year.

STT Alpha Eta Chapter Research Awards
UCSF's Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society chapter supports meritorious research to members or affiliates (SON students and faculty). Award range is usually $500-3,500. Deadline is typically in fall quarter.

Educational Loans
Use low-interest loans that can later be forgiven through faculty or researcher loan forgiveness programs.

Campus Organizations
For short-term projects, for which a small cost-share or subsidy is needed, consider making an appeal to a campus or student organization - including SON student groups - that might have interest. The Student Activity Center staff (in MU 108W) may have ideas too.
